Well we are all finally over the New Year, Wow 2011 already, my how time flies so quickly. But i guess we are losing the days, they seem to be getting shorter and shorter days. Unless we are all getting busier and busier.
I guess it is time to start updating my page a little more often.
I have made a few New Year Resolutions, hopefully i can stick to them this year. Let's see how i go. So far so good. But then i am only half way through the first month yet.
New Years Resolutions:
1. quilt all the quilt tops i currently have in my sewing room.
2. Finish all the unfinished quilts i have half finished.
3. Make up a sample (for kits) of all the BOM Programs on the website.
4.Design more e-patterns for the website.
5. Spend more time making quilts.
6. Eat Healthier and become more melowed.
i have so far as of the 1st of january, quilted a few quilts that had been in the shop for some time. Here are a few of those so far. Have actually surprised myself.
this one is called All In A Row, made using a jelly Roll.
This one is Antique Star Quilt, i have a kit for this quilt on the website.
Hearts Of LOve i made this quilt for a kit on the website.
Japanese Block Stacked. This quilt i made to use the fabrics i recieved from a supplier, i decided this pattern suited them perfectly.
A few other little things i have been doing and experimenting with.
I have been practising more on my free motion quilting, and trying out a few different designs, after a little practise this is what i came up with, i was very very happy. So i have now decided to do a feather design wholecloth quilt on silk fabrics, just to see what affect it will leave me. Once fully completed.
I must say this fabric makes your quilting stand out a lot more than on cotton fabric.
This quilt i quilted in a few hours, i did the in the ditche around all the blocks to start with. I then quilted a star and a heart in the alternating blocks to complete the quilt.
Here I did a towel, hand towel and face washer using the machine embroidered applique technique to make this beautiful set for my mum for her birthday, she was absolutely delighted when she opened her gift.
I just couldn't resist putting this quilt up that i had made for a very good friend of mine. Love showing this picture.
I know wish that i did not give this quilt away. As we all do i guess.
Well no wonder it has been cloudy here for the last couple of days, it has just decided to rain here, looks like it might be around for a few hours or more. I hope everyone in the Flooded areas throughout Australia are not getting anymore of this rain, i think they have had enough devastation, to last them a life time.
I think this sort of weather is great for getting some much needed work done.
Well i think i have loaded you up with enough for today.
